Default Quick once over on my saph

Picutres are kind of in order, but i cant be bothered to seperate them at the mo... im sure you can figure it out

Thought i might aswell post this up now as i have been hanging off doing it for a couple of weeks

As the paint work is crap i was just after an enhancement detail.

The car was

1) degreased with a strong mix of APC
2) rinsed then snowfoamed
3) rinsed then clayed
4) rinsed then dried
5) taped up
6) gone over with the rotary and a megs light cut pad with megs ~83
7) gone over with the PC an SFX2 pad and megs #80 ( a mate trailing behind me )
8) black hole glazed
9) vics concourse red was used as a wax
10---- ) all the other usual stuff like glass cleaned etc

Stunning. love looking at threads like this. Out of interest how much do you reckon you paid for all the stuff you metioned in your list.I would like to do the same to my scooby, but as its an every day family car thats used in rain or shine. I don't want to/can't justify spending a fortune.

If you inclued things like the rotary and porter cable, quite alot lol

a bottle of polish is between Ł15-25
clay 10-15
wax 15-50000
glaze 15-25
then you have things like the plastic dressings etc

You can do it on a budget by hand and still get good results, but it will never match that of a machine polisher unfortunatly

Totally depends on how much work you want done and to what standard. 1 day protection details usually vary from Ł150 to Ł400 for 8-10 hours work; 2 day minor corrections from Ł300 to Ł700 for 16-20 hours work, and 3 day + major corrections anything from Ł600 to well over a grand for anything from 24 to 40+ hours work. Detailer prices vary greatly with setup, experience and reputation. Like most trades really.
