Buy FastFord this week when its out in shops.
Ps, The car managed 3rd place at pikes peak this year, Gronholm 2nd in the Fiesta and Monster won in his Suzuki. Still no sub 10minute run up the hill.

Amazing looking car IMO. The car has been competing at Pikes Peak on and off since 2004.
Here is it back in the 2004 PP competition when it was piloted by Stig Blomquist:

Some video of it running up the mountain in 2004: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1pwDgdKYsk
And the latest run just a few days ago: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dh_Gynr9qI
Their website is at http://www.mach2racing.com but its not the best site to be honest.

rs200's at pikes peak isn't a new thing, Norwegian Viking Thor Holm had a few rs200's and one did pikes and he rolled it and just a tree stopped the car rolling down the side of the mountain, that was the 1980's iirc

BDT/E engine used, different to BDT which has dimensions similar to a crossflow block.

Proper beast! They had that in work in the environmental lab for mapping.
I guess the pressure up at pikes peak is a little bit less than at sea level.
Imagine what it can get down here.
Or is that what your saying chip?950bhp up the peak and 1150 below?

The quoted power output would be at (or around) sea level. They estimate that power figures would be down by about 30% due to altitude by the end of the run.
1150 bhp figure is with the nitrous.
These are the figures from their website....
Max Power: 950 bhp (PS-DIN) @ 8,000 rpm
Max Torque: 750 lbs ft @ 5,500 rpm
Power booster: 70 litres of Nitrous Oxide gas gives a boost equivalent to 3 minutes at:
Max Power: 1,150 bhp (PS-DIN) @ 8,000 rpm
Max Torque: 850 lbs ft @ 5,500 rpm

They dont use the nitrous at sea level though, they only use it as they go up the hill to make up for the lack of air due to the height, so the idea is to maintain the power from sea level not to add to it.
