Just for a bit of messing really. Used to good tight plate diffs in my cars. Just looking for something uprated.
I did a bit of research into diffs a while back and the different options.
With plated diffs I think you've got the option of the Gripper type and i've heard that Mike
Rainbird might have knowledge of a new type that is a bit more 'user friendly' perhaps.
There is also the option of a Quaife diff and having your viscous LSD re-worked or even uprated by people like Bara. The standard Viscous LSD is quite mild to avoid too much understeer and in the interest of a forgiving nature. Chances are it might be not even providing the standard 25Nm locking action and be considerably less
have you got a cos lsd diff at the moment.could be spending quite a bit to get what your describin

If that question is aimed at me, no I have not but I can get one, Lee's diff was 7'', 7 1/2'' is more expensive.
For a Gripper you will need output shafts from a VC diff.
For the Quaife you will need either their output shafts or a pair of the longer original output shafts (from an open diff which take either 109mm 2wd, or 100mm 4x4).

That could happen! Just looking for something a bit smoother as it is gonna be a nice road car.
If you want something reasonably smooth for a road car maybe it is worth enquiring about a Bara/similar uprated VC as it seems to be 2/3 the price of the plated diffs ( if buying new ).
Worth doing some research into it before you spend a grand imo.
If you want to do drifting/serious competition use etc all the time a plated diff is probably best but if it's a civilized road car with a smooth progressive action consider why Ford specced a VC in the first place and not a clutch/ATB type

Can get Quaife also.
So you dont have a diff yet bill,i have a 7" 2wd rear end if you want to try the cheaper option first.I would go std up to about 300brake and atb after that all day long.
