hi
the question is when i fit a airtec front mount intercooler have i do some mods with the bumper or is it plug amd play? i there any clearance betwen the bumper and the cooler?

i have a airtec fmic. i think the new ones go on no probs, mine was the first one they sold with fans on the front of the cooler and i cut 2 tiny 2cm sections of the in side of my 88 spec bumper took 2 mins to do, but the new ones have the fans on the back of the intercooler so you should be ok

 

sounds great. i hope next weekend i can fit the alu radiator and the intercooler.

 

It goes straight on mate, very easy to fit. Did have to cut a tiny bit off the bumper though

 

i will see. i dont have the original bumper. it´s a rieger bumper

 

Straight forward fit with a 90-spec, slight cutting with 88-spec.

Mines the front fan edition and no probs with my 90-spec

 

u may have to bend the bonnet catch back a bit to get the bonnet to sit right or you may get nasty gashes in the top of the cooler,thats what ive heard alot on here anyway

 

I havent got that issue with mine. Even using bonnet lifters it doesn't catch it. It happened with the Pace cooler, but not the airtec.
