Default Am I the oldest boy racer on here? Officially warned now

After a really frustrating day with the car's electrical issues I took it for a short drive just now and revved it up in first gear on a nearby straight to check for misfires (30mph area so luckily didn't use second!!).

Blue lights and pulled over - given a section 59 official warning and breathalised. This is the law set up to deal with boy racers who annoy the public. So what a day.

I'm 52 but feel a lot younger now. Something for the car's history file!!!

Be warned folks, they can impound the car if you get stopped again.

Also got warned by the cops once on industrial estate at 10pm on a friday for the same

The cop was alone and could not messure my speed as it was to short distance, i asked him if he really liked his job for stopping me instead of catching burglars on the estate, he reported me and wished me a nice weekend

The problem is that if they catch a burglar or stop a fight for instance they don't make money, but if they catch someone who's doing 32 in a 30 area they earn money for the queen

They stopped me many times and never charged me for something and i rarely had a nice copper, i always ask them why i get pulled over and they never have a good reason other then a routine check

ive only had good experiences with dutch police, i jumped 3 reds and was speeding as there was only 1 car on the road, unfortunately that 1 car was an unmarked police car . they let me off with a warning.
then there was the time they kicked in our front door to arrest my housemate whod smashed a window whilst drunk, we were sitting snorting lines of the coffee table and they didnt care, they said what we do in our own house is no business of theirs as long as were not bothering anyone.
that wouldnt happen in the uk thats for sure.

About the red and speeding, you must be very lucky cos normally jumping red is
150, speeding could be a warning as they have to measure your speed for at least 16 seconds in a following police car, was this in a car with Dutch or British plates.

You should have offered them a line

it was in my dutch car, i lived in Arnhem at the time.it was in the old days just before the euro started in 2001.
when they realised i was a foreigner they said i was welcome in their country but not if i drive like this often and sent me on my way.
