Default Putting an estate exhaust onto a sapph cossie

A bit unusual I know! but here in NZ someone is selling a exhaust which came off a cosworth powered sierra estate. As my exhaustr has more holes than swiss cheese, will it work?

Look up the length of the estate cars versus the others on the net, I think it will fit no probs, I had a escort van exhaust on my mk4 escort hatch only difference was van only 1 box instead of 2, can you not ask him to measure it(exhaust) and you measure your car exhaust.

I have always found the lenghts to be inaccurate

Estate is supposidly 4521MM and saph is 4467MM but Cosworth is 4495MM although both are the same.

I would think the two exhausts are diffrent though.

The lengths are bumper to bumper, the estate uses slightly different suspension but i think the exhaust route is the same.as long as it came from a cosworth originally and has not been cut to suit it will fit.

Thanks guys, I'm going to go and check it out. The only thing is that the exhaust I have on is the original one with 3 mufflers, looks nothing like this one

the suspension going from saph/hatch to estate would be the major problem here but going the other way it'll be fine

you may need to shorten it a little though as the cenre sections are 4 inches longer to make up for the extrnded rear bit of the car, even though the wheelbase is the same
