Hi people the next scotch corner meet is on the 26th of july in the scotch corner hotel back car park.It might be a bit quiet cause the meet is on the same day as the RS show at pickering.It starts at the usual time of 2pm.I hope to see a few of you there.

Sorry glenn we are going to the show at pickering. a few of our lads are right up for it and we are camping. 1st time ever so really looking forward, depending on the day (as a few left pickering early last yr and came to scotch corner meet) we might do the same but we will see what the weathers like. what you got planned for ruths birthday that day? owt or nowt??

I dont think we are doing much to be honest.I think she might be working on the morning so i will have to spend some time with her on the afternoon.

 

All our group that normally attends are off to Pickering mate

Could you not arrange it as a meeting place Glenn then everyone drive down to Pickering from there. A big convoy of all types of Ford driving down together would look awesome IMO

 

Yeh it would look good mate but i dont think my mate who organises the older fords would be interested.I will have a word with my mate again but i not promising anything.We could do with getting a banner for the meets and start having stands at some shows.

We are only doing pickering for 2 reasons, 1 we never been before and 2 with this being the clubs 1st yr @ show season we have to give our members a chance of the shows as some of them have never done anything like this before. And you know glenn, we never missed a S.C meet in 3 yrs?

lol i know, never had chance to get a decent pic of ours on the drive!! this ones a far bit out of date...... we've had, 3 or 4 different RS's since that!!! lol

As i said right back at the start i am very sorry for the clash of dates but it is really hard to get a date that doesn't clash.
As you all know the only meet we have had at the hotel was really busy and as the hotel was in receivership it caused me no end of trouble hence the large gap between the two meets. Hopefully all is sorted now and i can run them each month again.
I don't want to turn the meets into some kind of club because at the moment i think it works well in that if you want to come you come and if you don't you dont. There are no politics or any of that stuff. I have put a lot of effort into these meets and with Glen's help have built up the RS side up.
At the end of the day some dates will clash which i can only say sorry for.

 

is the meet at scotch corner still on,this sunday 14 00 hrs?? and it is any ford welcome?

 

Yeh mate it's still on, as normal any Fords are more than welcome. See you there mate

 

Yeh mate as long as its got a FORD badge on it its welcome. It doesnt matter what it looks like as long as its a ford and you love them.

 

The meet is in the back car park. When u drive in if you look to the left you will see all the fords there.

 

im gonna try and make it glen but the wife wants to go to sunderland air show tomorrow so will try and get down at some point

Thanks to all of you that came today. Like i have said it was a quiet one cause of other cars shows been on the same date. As soon as i get the new date off andy i will let you all know when the next meet is.

glenn i couldnt make sunday coz ive sold the escort and i was to hungover and had to play footy aswell.
should try to get one organised for end of august time or is there any big shows on then?
i will be at the next one but probs on my bike.
