Just in case anyone doubts these cars in anyways....

I have one, I also had a 182 as well and my bro just brought one.

Mine has now done 113k and is used daily and did its first track day at 104k.

You simply cannot have as much fun for this sort of money- FACT!!!!

above is true, but i believe there are better examples around for that money. The people who buy them usually go for stadard ones, very few mods are acceptable by the RenaultSport boys standards.

Having said that, there will be someone after a modded clio that goes, and this'll suit em well.

I had one a year or so ago, and it was one of best cars i've driven, i've had 4 other clios as too

"but i believe there are better examples around for that money"

@ £2500 I bet you wont see many mate, if any.

Jay knows how to price his cars, and having seen people buy cars from him and then when they are ready to move up, trade in against something else he has can only be a sign that he doesn't sell nails or crap.

i price my stuff to sell-which it does most of the time.everyone who knows me knows i will have a deal, and the price is for people who want to p/x stuff-

ive been around cars for long enough to know what people want, and yes a lot of people would want a standard car-but just tell me how many cars do you see on the road with non standard rear lights, non standard exhausts and non standard mirrors????? so im sure there is someone out there for it-plus as already said its cheap enough to be a road/track car.

so just keep your opinions to yourself in future............

No? Don't think there's any need to be rude, just because you've been a member longer than me?! That kind of attitude ruins forums. There is no rule that says i have to be a member for a certain period before i can have an opinion.

I'm a RenaultSport enthusiast, i generally have an idea how much stuff is worth in good condition. I didn't say your car was a dog, but generally these sell better standard. This one i found after 2 minutes looking was a cheap car, standard, 45k fsh, 52 plate, 12 month mot, tax etc ClioSport.net add.

Why the hostility after i clearly stated that someone will be looking for a car just like it and will suit them to the ground? I just said good luck since those people are thinner on the ground.

And again for the record, i've already mentioned it on the CS forum incase anyone was after one.

3. If a car is for sale and you either

A. dont like it or
B. think its too expensive

DO NOT POST ON THE THREAD

all im asking is that you stick by the rules please.......

fair enough, but i see many cars on here that i think are no good/can get cheaper etc etc,but the rules ask people not to comment,so i dont.plus its not my place to comment anyway.......

its not the best clio 172 in the world today, but it will sell, because its keenly priced in todays market-put clio 172 in the autotrader website and see what the average price is........

it does look like a chav has owned it, but for that price, what do you expect, its a cheap car no matter how it looks, i know they go well having owned a 172 last year, great motoring value for pennies

the only thing that id be worried with is the cambelt at that sort of mileage, if there is proof of it being done in the last 2yrs or so then great, but if not i would completely avoid it.

cambelt replacement costs around upwards of £500 from a regular mechanic! and probably upwards of £600 from a good renault specialist (people who service these cars everyday, not a clueless main dealer)
well worth sorting a cambelt, as if that goes tits up, then the car would be worth hardly anything.

also something forgot to add to my last message, its that people remove the spare wheel because the weight of it in such a small car makes a huge difference to the feel of cornering and acceleration.
you could carry tyre foam incase of a puncture, saves time and space, easier to use too

Or they sold the set to get some back for new wheels they bought?

our workshop can do cambelts on these for around 200-250. done two of ours so far, quickly too.

i imagine the belt may have already gone and been sorted as it's had head rebuild and cambelt stated in ebay ad. Could be wrong tho. either way it's cheap enough for track fun as said.

we've got a 45k black 182 coming in soon if anyone is interested.
