Default no spark

Got a problem with my S2. Getting no spark from the coil. Have changed coil, leads, plugs, dizzy cap, rotor arm, battery. Seems like the green wire on the neg side of the coil is'nt doin what it's suppose to correct me if i'm wrong but it should go live with the ignition and then pulse when the engine has started. Mine goes live but no pulse. Please help before i sell it and go back to VAUXHALLS

check the wire all the way through, think it runs along the cross member, mine lost it spark, tried everything, and in the end it was a small break in the green wire from the coil along the front panel where my intercooler had sat and weared it through!

i had this on the wifes years ago and it was the phase sensor in the dizzy that had gone.
to prove it turn on ignition and fit a wire to middle wire out of 3 on sensor and keep dabbing it down to earth with a plug removed so that you see if it sparks. if it does the sensor is u/s.
hth
thanks
