why dont you get a uprated cam instead? it will benefit your car much more than a standard one and make good use of a vernier pulley.
Thats all well and good for a few extra BHP top end, but choose your cam carefully or you'll find your self with more lag, less low down torque and have to be up in the revs all the time just to get anywhere!
Good question i've been wondering the same, whether there's any point on a standard cam....

TBH and i'm sure there will be plenty of people on here that will disagree but............. I was told by Chris Todd @ TOTD that a vernier on a single cam engine is almost pointless as all it does it move your power band up or down the rev range.
So again you'll be sacrificing low down grunt for maybe 5-10 horses at redline.

i am going for a standard cam as i dont want it to be anymore laggy and i want it to last more than 3000 miles unlike some uprated ones ive heard about .
i will take it with me when it gets fitted anyway and if msd think its worth fitting then it can be put on !

Ive put a piper t2 cam in my new stage 3 head but didnt have the equipment or know how how to time up the vernier so put the standard pullley back on. The car has loads more grunt so hoping when funds allow to get the vernier fitted and see some extra horses.
