Default vibration on over run

my turbo cab'e got an annoying little rattle noise when I'm off the throttle, I first thought this was the exhaust but after removing it to check it today found it isn't. I've now found the cause, its the wastegate vibrating because when I push the actuator rod gently against the actuator the noise goes away.

So my question is is this down to adjustment or is the actuator on its last legs and has become weak?

Car is running standard boost with no issues.

yeah, think the rule aways was, the bar should cover half the hole, so it should be tight enuff to not rattle

cheers carl, finally had a chance to sort the actuator today, nice easy ten minute job even on the floor, the noise has gone and its boosting a lot better, there was no pre load on the wastegate whatsoever

What plank fitted that?
The boost is not going hogher than what you are setup for though is it? Always best to be safe!
