well i got another turbo and now i have fitted it my car want boost. i have double checked everything pipes ect. my actuator is fitted correct everything is fitted. im just wondering if there is anything else to check i.e. sensors or if the amal valve would stop it from boost if its broke im after any advice and help. don't really want to take it iff to try old one but think thts what it might come to. i have also spun the puerperal by hand and thats free with about 1mm play. some please help!!!

 

Hey mate just fitted my stage 2 hybird turbo myself on mon, am trying to think what could be wrong?? The best thing you could do is fit the old one back on, what type of turbo have u fitted?? Is it new or 2nd hand??

 

sounds like you need to adjust your actuator or try another actuator.

 

its a second hand one i have fitted. and i have adjusted plus its only 2months old and just a t3

 

Never buy second hand turbos! lol
or if you do get it recon'd before bolting it to your car.

I would hazard a guess at your actuator as they can have quite a range of adjustment.
You could try bypassing the amal valve as well to see if that is the problem, not 100% on this tho as i dont use one.

Take it to a tuner and get them to have a look at it. If you've had the actuator off etc theres a chance the engine will be out of synch.

 

if it was your amal valve it would boost but about 3psi ish

 

ho can i by pass amal valve just buy putting a bleed valve in

 

yup. but then your gonna want to get it right othewise the car will either have nothing, or boost its twat off!

tbh, from reading alot of threads on here and personal experience. When it comes to bolting on turbo's and other various performance parts, take it to a tuners and get them to look at it. Too many pople mod their engines and try and set them up themselves and end up destorying them.
