Mine used to do this i just turned 4mm of the face of the disc where the wheel butts up to and this allowed the wheel to sit further back away from my arch

How much space do you have between the wheel inner face and the shock absorber? Sounds like your ET is too small? Should be around 40mm, and the 205 really is the maximum that will go in without hassle.

You're on 205/45/17's and on an ERST you need to be on 205/40/17's this will either go a long way towards sorting you out or even cure it alltogether.

Dont know, but i bought it and it was rubbing the rears so stuck these on problem solved. I will be dropping to 40's at the next tyre change as well.

If it's definately catching the rear arch, and not bottoming out on the wheel well, then it's not a question of the tire having too big a diameter, but just sitting too far out.

make sure to check exactly where it is rubbing. i spent ages trimming/rolling my rear arches only to find out 90% of the rubbing was due to contact with the lip of the rear bumper where it sits inside the arch. i trimmed as much of this back as i could without ruining the mounting holes, and problem solved. and mine was sat stupid low on 17x7" rims, 205 40 17 tyres, and i believe et38

ET 38mm is pretty much spot on for a 205mm width tyre. The narrower the tyre, the less ET you can run.
