Hi guys

I have got an XR2 and at uni so will be going under my dads insurance. Trying to find the best place to insure it. I want it to be cheap but want it to be aggreed value. Anybody got any suggestions?

I have my mk2 XR2 with 46k on the clock insured with Footman James on a classic policy so i dont accrue any NCB on the policy(you dont on classic policies)but the main driver has to be over 25 years old,but i have full NCB on my BMW car that i use everyday..i am 36 years old,HGV driver and the car is only used as a show car so mileage is limited to 3000 per year...it is fully comprehensive with breakdown cover,garaged with an agreed value of £3000 but i cannot use the car for commuting to and from work,it has to be solely used as a show car and i pay £78 for the policy.

 

I have a Pulsar GTi-R which is fast enough and group 20 insurance, so I'm not doing this to get a fast car and my insurance cant get much more then wot I'm paying on that. This reason i wanna do this is i have an mint XR2(too good to put on a track), RS2000 engine(cant use in my formula) and hundreds of other ford parts lying around from stock car racing.
