Default identifying a pipe

i have a f reg saphire cosworth i am trying to identify a pipe i believe is leaking water its directly under the the injectors and fuel rail just above the oil filter its a black one and runs parrarel with the direction of the engine anyone know what the pipe leads to and from its difficult to see without ripping half the engine out

Oh and the pipe only seems to leak when i put the car back in the garage after i have been out in it ?

A pipe runs from the heater matrix around the back of the head to the modine (between the block and oil filter) and then from the modine to the rear of the head on the inlet side. It'll be one of these, or the modine itself has rotted.

As jon says, not too bad to get to from underneath, can get poly ones as well for this.

K managed to get to the pipes to see its the pipe that goes from modine to the rear of the head on the inlet side its split justabove the dubile clip

Anyone know where i can get one from

You can sometimes get away with just lopping the split bit out and stretching a bit, temporarily.
Don't know if std ones are about anymore, but sure begay will have some poly ones, maybe Matt Lewis 01543 484488.

If it is too tight you can cut it behind the block and insert some plumbers copper pipe with a couple of jubilees to extend it. That's how I found mine when I took it apart and I didn't even know about it! Obviously a new hose makes sense and I think Samco even do them in black now???
