Default Should i cry! Bad Rot!!

LASt weekend i finally fullfilled my childhood dream and got my hands on a 3dr cosworth, i knew it wasnt the tidiest of 3drs (got it cheap so you can see where this is going!) but today i got a bit of a shock!

Took the kit off to investigate what appeared to be a little bit of rot on the sill and came across this:

This is the sill at the connection point of the inner rear arch,

The rest of the sill looks like this:

All the way along the lip where the sill attaches to the floor pans is completely gone, in some places i have holes up into the car through the floor, the width of the hole is only 2 inches max but its the entire length of Both driver and passenger sills, the lip itself is completely gone and i have a hole in its palce!

Am i looking at an expensive welding job here? (cant do it myself) am guessing all my interior has gotta come out too, is this common on the old 3drs and has anyone had thiers repaired successfully? All advice is welcome as at the moment i'm on an all time low, finding this has p**ed on my chips big time!

Fairplay thats given me some hope, am off to speak to a few trusted welders tomorrow, the rest of the car is in good shape, under the carpets the floor pans are spotless and the inner sills are good, just where the lip on the outer sill is the only place, unfortunately its pretty bad in that area.

Never mind, having owned 4 sapph cosworths in the past i'm used to having problems with my RS's! I'll be on this now until its all sorted.

If anyone knows a good place in the north west idealy chester area that can handle this kind of job let me know!

Just out of interest mate for both sills (driver and passenger) to be sorted (having seen the kind of condition they're in) roughly how much is is going to cost me do you think?

I bought mine quite cheap (as far as a 3door can be cheap) too but don't dare to take the skirts off actually....

But as I bought is quite cheap it actually is a project car and those always need work. A 3door is always a good base to work with, if you restored it it will be worth much more
