How?? And personaly I dont get the obsession with ELE....yeah it was a good car in its day but there's been 3dr's that were much better in all area's since it. Take alook at Ryans old white 3dr...or Lambys old moonstone, the Reyland 3dr and also Broms 3dr, and also Ryans (nmbr2) moonstone 3dr.

out of most 3drs ele has probably had the most publicity being a fast ford feature car etc, owned by OKC, and now had masses of money spent on it, i know theres much nicer cars tucked up in peoples garages but back in the day you never saw them, to be honest i dont think theres an ugly cosworth made but when i was a little nipper, (now 36) that was one of the cars you see in the mags all the time.

I think bar the two Ryan's (one of them should change their name, its confusing in this thread lol) car's they've all had mag features, and have all acheived more as well. It had its day ten year ago....it would have to have some major reworking to make it 'special' again imo. Still a nice example though.

ele is a mint car mate, with all the right bits thats why its so well known.
ELE will never be as mint as Ryans old white 3dr was. Yes your car has many of the right old skool parts....and yes many years ago your car with one of its previous owners pulled off a very quick top speed for the era but, Im afraid for it to honestly maintain the status it acheived in the Ford scene around a decade ago then you need to make some big changes to it as its got to play a big game of catch up imo. Currently a 3dr thats considered to have all the right bits runs along the lines of Paul or North Yorks RS Spares 3dr....have a look at his build thread on that one.

everyone can have there own opinion mate, but theres alot of people who would disagree with you. now its got split rims on and been freshened up it looks spot on and loads of people have commented on how good it looks so i'll just leave it at that

like to do a top speed run now its more power but its finding somewhere to do it as brunters is storing cars at mo as ive been told

Agree with you though, Karl Norris,s 3dr is a proper car too, Laceys is simply stunning.........
