Default Cossies and MPG

How many miles do you get out of 20quid worth of fuel. My saff cossie 4x4 has a stage 2 chip and i normally get about 50 mile out of 20 quid. Thats mostly around the town though going to and from work.

I never heard of a Cossie doing 160 miles on Ł20, but at 60mph on the motorway I guess it's possible.

Around town, I'd be happy for anything over 60 miles for Ł20.

average 90 miles to 20 quid pottering about in town alot and driving like a doris , all std apart from exhaust & filter element , add a motorway journey at 70-80 in the mix and can get up to 130 miles to 20 quid .

i would be gutted with 50 mile to Ł20 as am having to use everyday since losing my job .

cheers

I regularly get 400 miles to a tank, not particularly easy, mostly local runs 10/20 miles.
NOT closed loop on greys, T3/34, I suppose on Ł20 150 easy, driving normally, which is foot down with me, as said didn't buy it to go slow.
Best thing you can do is avoid chips in favour of individual mapping, whilst chips are ok etc do the job, real benefits are seen on most with mapping work, esp in the mpg dept when driving easy.

I get about 60 - 70 miles off 20 quid normally, and thats not really driving slow, thats a stg 3 4x4. Could probably get more, but its hard to drive them slow!

When my car was stg3 and just setup at msd it used a 1/4 tank to do 120 miles so i'm guessing around Ł10-15

I gallon = 4.55 litres, so easy enough to work out, 1.6km = 1 mile.

Pete when i picked it up from msd the other week,we got about 21 mpg,on the 300 mile drive home, but were cruising at 90 most the way, with a few 100+ times, always found all my cossies to be the same on fuel, ither in town or on a run, mates t35 400 bhp 4x4 does about the same as mine, and it is also closed loped and just been live mapped, think all these ppl saying 30 plus must be free wheeling when they can,and never above 60mph on the motorway

Wilst closed loop can be good, it does depend on your driving style, correctly mapped imo closed loop doesn't guarantee an advantage.
I have the option of closed loop, it's a bit smoother when cold on closed loop, but I turn it off and run map 1 mostly, with no lambda.

Just under 28mpg is my best so far with closed loop, that was on a long motorway run sitting at 70-75mph and no playing.
