Hiya i have got a innovate lm2 hand held air/fuel ratio gauge and im going to put in my s2 rs turbo it says in the manual that the air/fuel ratio should be showing 14.7 for lambda 1.0 is this still ok on a turbo?

Think you need to re read the manual a couple of times.

You are getting the wrong end of the stick.

 

Yes if its a petrol car that is still lambda one and is what your car should be showing on cruise on a motorway.

When on boost though, it should be significantly lower than that.

 

If this is an MFi RS Turbo, you'll find that the fuelling is far from ideal.

 

No mate its got cosworth management on i just want to make sure that the car will be ok as going to drive a few hundred miles to get the car set up properly.

 

OK, so you'll want to see between 0.90-1.00, but ideally closer to 1.00 on cruise (off-boost) and somewhere between 0.76-0.82 on full boost.

If you're driving it to have it set-up, I'd be concerned if it's richer than 0.70 anywhere or leaner than 0.90 when there is any boost involved. Obviously you'll not need to be driving it that hard anyway.
