On prepared paintwork,

clayed/polished/glazed/sealed then use

Dodo Juice Purple Haze soft wax by bare hand......

Thats what I use but then you need to glaze it, I use Clearcote Glaze then Poorboy's sealant EX then I use Dodo Light fantastic or Rainforest rub.....

It all depends how much the OP wants to get into it all. Personally a wash, clay and polish is all I can be arsed to do.

Yeah but your prepared to clay it and polish it? you might as well finish it off properly, the sealant and wax stage are 'very' easy.

And the results are well worth it.....

It takes me a whole afternoon to do what I do....... That includes polishing the alloys, wet look tyres, a hoover, cleaning the glass in and out and treating the exterior plastics.....No way can I be bothered to do anything else.

Do as much as you can on the afternoon then start again next morning.

It usually takes me a good week to do mine properly, spending a few hours at a time.

If you leave it overnight it's got a layer of dust on it in the morning, and that's if you're lucky enough to park it indoors. No chance outside, it'll need washing off again.

I see. Ive got a heated garage with tailored indoor car cover so don't have that problem.
