Default IS MY TURBO CREAM CRACKED

Hi all,

Driving along today and found that every now and again my car chucks out a puff of smoke when boosting up and letting off. Have also found a small amount of oil in the boost pipes. There doesn't appear to be any play on the turbo shaft but have heard that it still could be goosed.

I am gonna change the oil for a thicker grade anyway because I feel the oil that Ford recommended (5/30) is too thin.

Any ideas?

Cheers
Dave

agree with the oil, would go for a 10w50/60 personally.

sounds like it could be the turbo, but in all honesty i wouldnt worry for now!
