ive got cossie management on my Escort turbo, i had it set up and was running perfect on a converted loom, ive just got my own 2wd loom and its running rough as hell, ive checked that every plug is in the right place, ive swaped the wires around on tps and bottom crank sensor, its sparking correctly and the injectors are pulsing but appears that injector 1 and 4 are massivly overfueling, the plugs were wet and it seemed to be seaping from the top of the exhaust manifold whilst running?! anybody got any ideas? im extremly sick of the sodding car at the minute, might give up and flick matches at it till it burns.
Cheers!

will it be too much to put the converted loom back in place to make sure its not the 2wd loom thats faulty or is that going to be a headache? this will probably be the only way to make sure its not the loom or something else.

You only need to swap the wires around on the TPS if your using a 4wd TPS with a L8 or P8. Have you checked the gaps on your phase and crank sensor?

Sam i have the same setup as you and my TPS wires do need to be switched due to the pectel board you have in the ECU.
Also the CPS wires will need to be reversed due to the polarity of the sensor.
Map sensor wires shouldnt be cut for any reason if you can help it!
Other than that all the wires are the same for a 2wd or a 4x4. So if you have fitted a loom to your car and its not working either the loom you have fitted has issues. Or the sensors and components on your engine bay are faulty or not plugged in to the correct plugs or out of adjustment etc. Check the gap settings on each trigger.
Best bet is take it back to jano's and get him to install a loom for you to save you the hassle you have had for so long with secondhand wiring looms.
See you there Danny.

Due to the distance you are, if you have not taken your car down to Jano's yet. why dont you ask him to send you another loom to try? if that doesn't solve the problem then have the car taken down there.
which 1 is a 4wd tps? ive got a brand new pf09 on mine, jano said the gaps are 6 to 8 thou, ive used my feeler gauges at 0.06 is this correct?
