Default Series 1 Rs wont start..ideas?

Turns over but no attempt to fire up....work fine last week.
Turns over and sometimes the starter motor stick then she turns over again.

changed.....spark plugs....dizzy....all ignition leads....air filter....fuel pump......

any ideas anyone?? need it running...has no vacum leak solved that last week.

doesnt seem to spark...but the coil is ok

You change the dizzy itself or the rotor arm and cap on the dizzy?

i only ask as this sounds like it could be the hall sensor on the dizzy thats packed up.....
put a volt reader on the sensor conector.

as above ,the plug on top of dizzy.if u got a spark at coil and uve changed rotor arm and cap and plugs and leads,it sounds like that could be ur problem.

Not sure mate i bought a recon dizzy for mine. I had same problem but no spark from the coil either as soon as i changed dizzy it fired right up.

im not sure either.early mk2 fiesta xr2's have the same dizzy,but only early ones.
the plug on the top can become loose.80 percent of rs turbos probly have a cable tie(zip tie) around it lol

sounds like leads. i had this problen last week set it all up fireing order as per haynes how to rebuild and mod cvh manuel and couldnt work out why it wouldnt startturns out the picture is for na cvh.. set cam pulley to tdc with dis cap off and tou will see where to start 1.3.4.2

As i stated, its more than likely this.

you asked if you can buy the sensor itself, well im not sure but a recon. will have one on it. but this aint a cheap fix. it costs £165 for a replacement plus you need to retime your engine.

ive done this got mine from burton power. the problem you said was exactly the same as mine. if the sensor paks up the engine wont fire up, the sensor will stop the coil sparking the leads etc.
