A Fund raising idea for PassionFord / Stu!!!!!
Hi...
As a regular user and non contributor
of this web site I have an idea that could raise a good amount of money towards going to its running.....Might not be a good one or may have been mentioned before but here goes anyway....
Why not registar with and have links to sites like amazon or Play (dvd/cd's) and whenever a member or user wants to order from one of these type of sites just uses the link on this web site (passionford). Its as simple as that I think and passionford/Stu would get a payback everytime an order was placed.....Dare I say free money
I am not suggesting hundreds of links just a few well known ones that I am guessing we all use
Can I take this opportunity to thank Stu for for the advise over the phone last week re live mapping....He always explains everthing don't know how he ever gets any work done....thanks very much
Cheers Malc

One of the things I personally like about this site is that it isn't full of adverts / pop ups and click paid advertising banners everywhere (other than the members ones).
Im sure a simple link could just be put in the links section though if it's necessary.
Just my views

I'm sure Pet could make it so there is small text at the top of the page "Buying from Amazon / Play Help PF by reffering" with the associated site names being links which click through to Amazon.com / Play.com logging in with PassionFord as the referrer.
I for one would rather buy from them knowing some money was going to PF as well!
Just an idea anyway!

Hi Rus...
I'm not suggesting filling it with adverts, just a few well used links, I think it would raise a usefull amount of money. They can be very small or even just text
It will not be a sticky or pop up ...just a link we can use to help fund this site

To be honest the idea sounds good, But I think the Affiliate commision or what ever you call it is very small.
You could have a forum page with the links rather than the actual banners on the home page so that they did not become a pain in the ass

As is cost nothing and generates an income, however small, why not have a section on the forums menu. You will never have to see it unless ur ordering something and want to use it
Anyway was just a thought a friend of mine did it for the run up to xmas...Can't give up work on it but every bit helps and his site is tiny compare to PassionFord
