my S2 had a very worn cam so took head off to give it a clean up, new Ford head gasket, timing belt and replace cam now the fooker wont start - i'm pretty confident in the timing at the belt end but the not sure about dizzy end - i have just put it back on as i took it off. Car seems to be getting fuel but is just turning over, occaisonally coughs but wont fire up. I've not been able to check for a definite spark yet cos was on my own last night, but car has had new plugs, dizzy cap and rotar arm recently. Car was running great before this, apart from cam prob obviously. I've checked all plugs at back on inlet (cold start unplugged as goosed) and all are good. Any ideas?

 

try a compression test or try adavancing or retarding the timing on the dizzy end see if that does anythin
