With the companies I use for the classic policies, all cars over 20 years old (if not XR/RS) are able to go on classic policies. If XR/RS, it is normally from 10-15 years old to be eligible.
Yours should be fine. Who do you use for the S1?
Ours are with Peter D. James and it only costs an extra £20 to add another classic to the policy with unlimited mileage and agreed value.
You could technically get both covered on identical cover for almost the same price as one. Might be worth a look. Only thing with them is that you need to be 30 or over to be eligible.

its standard apart from stainless exhaust i have over eleven years no claims bonus
forgot to say i am 30
Well, the cabby is insured for £3,500 and to add the 2000e (valued @ £2,500) is £20. £161 for the pair for 2 people aged 30 without using ANY no claims bonus
i miss classic car insurance, although my XR3i cab is 20 this year so i think i'll give a few companies some calls tomorrow and get some quotes on the go!
my capri was £288 with 0ncb driving for 2 years and 21 which i thought was bloody good value, if its anything around the same i'll be very happy
HIC do my S2 on a classic and I pay about 500 a year. That covers me with an agreed valuation, mods up to 320bhp and the roll cage which causes me problems with most companies.
