Default what the f**k.rl7's again!!!my bad

after moddin some stuff at the rear to get my rl7's on i fitted my front coilovers and lowered the car on to all four wheels to see if i wanted to keep the wheels white or go silver.check all round and the wheels are catching rear coilovers again

What size/offset are the RL7's?

My 7x16's are closer to the coilovers than I would like and I run ET30. The clearance I have is OK, but I wouldn't really want them any closer.

i had got them to fit at the rear but i fitted my front coilovers and for some reason i dont know if its coincedence i checked the rears and they are hitting again.
christian what problem were you having with the your fronts.i seem to have screwed them all the way to the top and the front still wants to go very low

I had problems with both the fronts and the rears wanting to go too low. If you had the height adjusted to a sensible level (approx 30mm lower than standard), the suspension knocked when you bounced the car.

Also, on the fronts, we had to mess around with spacers to make the top-mount and bearing assembly work correctly. Although some of the tightness we had in the steering was accountable to the knackered steering column bushes.

I'm yet to use them on the road, but frankly, I want to raise the ride height from where it is now and I suspect they will knock, but we'll see I guess.

I reckon you're stuffed with 8x17", you'll need spacers I should think, then the wheels will be out of the arches I'd guess.

Im not using coilovers but mine are 7.75" and its close to a standard shock and the rear outer arch so i reckon at 8" your gonna struggle mate. A shame cos it would look the dogs

hope you manage to sort, they look awesome on the car

mine are et25 with a 3mm spacer on the rear, tyres (235-40) sit only a few mm away from the spring but it wont get any closer so not fussed

i have just put set of tsw's on that are 8j et 35 (fitted with slicks) similar size tyres to yours and they are fine no spacers or anything

good luck

found the problem.well it was my faultwhen i took a skim of one of the rear bells i havent had it properly in the lathe.meaning the wheel pulled in to the top a bit which was causing it to hit the coilovers.just tried the other side on and its fine.will take the disc to work with me and get one of the engineers to take a thou of it properly.also ordered aome powerflex bushes as there was a small bit of play in the others.fingers crossed
