I had problems with both the fronts and the rears wanting to go too low. If you had the height adjusted to a sensible level (approx 30mm lower than standard), the suspension knocked when you bounced the car.

Also, on the fronts, we had to mess around with spacers to make the top-mount and bearing assembly work correctly. Although some of the tightness we had in the steering was accountable to the knackered steering column bushes.

I'm yet to use them on the road, but frankly, I want to raise the ride height from where it is now and I suspect they will knock, but we'll see I guess.

I reckon you're stuffed with 8x17", you'll need spacers I should think, then the wheels will be out of the arches I'd guess.
