What we need:

We need a cartoon style logo designed and produced.... and I know there are a lot of talented people on here!

I'm happy with the writing on this [although am open to similar] but the little man needs to be done properly!! [ignore my name]:



Basically, I want someone that can draw to do the little man properly in a cartoon/modern style.




Requirements/ideas:

• He needs to have a big head as that's the point of the company name
• We're happy with the green colour used above and want to see it incorporated in the overall logo
• It needs to be easily transferrable to print, so as few colours as possible and a bold outline may work best!
• It needs to be fairly simple as it may one day need to be used with motion
• It has to be fun!
• Will you choose to use a turnip/swede for his head?
• Will he be a stick man or a real person's body in a suit?
• We will need the winning design as the fully layered .PSD file

What to do:

Come up with as many ideas as you can and post them up here as a JPEG. Or you can PM them if you prefer.

When there's a few options, I'll show the other Directors and if we choose one, you will get some cash [either in beer tokens or by paypal Gift if you live miles away!]

No to rain on your parade, but you should get a AI/EPS file, hence that PSDs are rasterized files, which will need vector rendering for sticker plotting etc. - Logos should ALWAYS be made up in vector, then for screen use you could make PSD versions using raster effects and so on.

I would have a go if I wasn't booked as much, but working 60 hours a week, doing graphics doesn't really turn you in to a drawing contest kind of guy, sorry...

I hope that someone will help you, since it looks like a fun little job fixing up a logo for this contest...

Paddy, may be worth mentioning the type of stuff the company is pushing and who it is aimed at.

may be something that can be worked into the character or at least give an idea for styles etc

 

I was trying to avoid it so as not to breach trading rules mate but I've spoken to a couple of mods and I seriously doubt anyone on here will be interested in using us for anything!

Basically, we're a production company making TV Shows, adverts, online virals, corporate videos and basically anything that requires broadcast quality productions.

The main target audience are those in the TV industry.

We've been doing it a while but only just set up a Limited company and need to brand ourselves.

I'm not a fan of the industry as it's full of arses mostly but the focus needs to be fun, vibrant, fresh and dynamic to give a particular type of image across when we're pitching ideas to new contacts.

The character basically needs to have a big head [or a swede!]. He needs to be a character on his own and be more like an easily recognisable logo than anything.

I want it to be a simple cartoon but one of my partners has the vision in his head of a real life person with a big swede shaped papier mache head like Frank Sidebottom...
