They really are for the Max Power/Cruise brigade;
Cruiser 1 - 'Yeah mate it makes so much power I have to have the bonnet half open to let all the heat out'
Cruiser 2 - 'You fuggin cock'
Cruiser 1 - 'And besides it looks like the engine is trying to burst out'
Crusier 2 - 'You were hated by your parents werent you'

Thas a smart Series One, but your bonnets not shut properly mate

Yall must be mad Jelous of the Reno5Turbo boys, their bonnets open that way as standard so all they have to do is just pull the bonnet catch everytime they want some "My car bonnet dont shut properly, im suing the bodyshop" coolness

Im sorry, but them things makes cars look daft, jus vent the bloody bonnet if you need to, and as most dont, dont be so daft

Is that opposed to no matter what age anyone is they think your a tosser

My cossie management rests on the underneath of my bonnet and it does actually make a noticeable difference on the charge temperatures aswell as the engine temperatures especially with a grs intercooler blocking the air flow to my ally rad.

I'd rather have the bonnet raised than be stuck on the side of the road with a blown water hose going no where

Ste I used to get that all the time! :ry:

Be sat @ traffic lights & car next to me would mouth the words "your bonnnet is open"

Keith B, TWAT! The bonnet was raised on my s2 due to the fact u could feel the inlet manifold through the bonnet thats how close it was! so with engine rock(even though i had vibratechnic engine mounts) it would of dented the bonnet! also it knock a few degrees of my runnin temps whihc is a lot when ur @ the heat levels my car used to run @!

Something to consider - increase in drag Vs power gained from lower charge temps

Why not put a disclaimer in the window saying why your bonnet is jammed open that way you may get some credance from folks over 20.
'Tosser, no wait he's got some poor mods that mean he can't close his bonnet properly'

Drop me your e-mail and I'll send you a pic or 2 of the RS.
Under the skin it had some choice mods:

PE Stg 3 head
PE SX428 Cam
PE Zorst
TT stag2 hybrid - 19psi boost.
PE Chip
Koni's & PE springs
Poly bushes throughout
2wd cossie disc and 4WD calipers upfront.

Exterior wise it had tinted rears and debadged.

Use washers or go to an engineers. Cutting 4 holes in 2 blocks of alloy ain't that expensive

Obviously theres cuttin up a bit of metal an drilling holes, then theres proper machining, and a decent bit of polished alloy bar

As you say, there not expensive, but for £13 for the two blocks, the washers, and the 4 high tensile bolts

As for the e-bay price can seeeeeeee them a comin
