yes I would say organic, will take the power and still get the feel of a standard clutch. Dont get a paddle, there too harsh and only last about 6 months from my experience !!

Had an AP Paddle in my car when i bought it with a standard fomoco pressure plate, found it to be noisy (clutch squalk) and a pain to drive in traffic, replaced it with an AP organic with uprated pressure plate when i rebuilt my engine. The clutch pedal is obviously heavier (even with the mk5 peadal fitted) but find it much more derivable in traffic and does not slip at all.

Is it the AP Racing Formula clutch kit you have, CP2000-8 rated for 170 lb/ft? It takes over 220 lb/ft in your car?

So the AP Racing Formula kit (CP2000-8, with the organic driven plate) rated for 170 lb/ft will hold 220 lb/ft?

Anyone tried the LUK kit that Amber Performance sells? Fast road (210hp) it says, must be around 220 lb/ft then.

Personally I like the AP 4 Paddle... best clutch I've had so far, the organice always felt like it was slipping, the 4 paddle just bite's in hard! great for race starts!

I'd always go for a paddle, but I only use mine for fun, dont drive it all the time! So depends if ur sitting in traffic everyday, I fine mine ok, you just have to get used to it!

Another thing to be warie of is that the paddle dosnt last long, ive done Ł5k on mine and its about knackered! And its a right tit of a job changing the clutch with the ABS on the car still!

rallyesport,

i have that luk clutch in mine, it slips badly in my car which is running c.190+ lbs of torque. ran it in then had the car setup and it started slipping straight away, i took a gamble and lost. i just put up with it now.

Ok, I'll learn from your mistake. My goal is 220 lb/ft and it seems the organic kit from AP is perfect.
