here goes, a mte bought an s1 yes a white one? well it says so on the logbook, it was sittin up for 10 years in a garage, got it cheap cos the engine was shot...its a custom pack, but here goes .... the shock tops have a 2 bolt mountin and they are 90degrees off from other mk3 shells iv seen...also when we scraped some paint back to the primer we found red paint underneath the primer....and yes its factory primer...anybody know if any s1s were sold in red and maybe sent back to ford for a white respray? as all numbers are matchin on the car and book??????? its a B reg car...

 

if it has 2 bolt hole top mounts its either a re-shell, or rep

 

sounds like an early mk3 shell mate.but not a s1 shell

 

but standard mk3 shell are different to s1 cos of the roll bar set up no?

the roll bars will fit on any mk3, just means they changed all the parts to a early shell

 

re shelled into a older car,must be a ringer as they never had them mounts on a B reg car
