Lookin to get away for easter. Could anybody from up that way recommend somewhere to stay (thinkin of a caravan) and what to get up to why we are up there. We have a 4 year old lad, so family orriantated things cheers

 

If you like fish n chips and can be arsed waiting (some times queing for 1h ) eat in at the magpie resturant. Propper fish n chips , If not there is one down the road thats dam good for a chippy

Deffo go into scarborough while you there as the is much more to do.

 

yeah man id go in to scarborough,loads of stuff to do,ocean world,park with pedal boats,nice restaurants etc,and whitby fish and chips awesome,watch out for the seagulls though

 

Some nice cottages in whitby you can rent

 

Cayton Bay, about 2 miles from Scarborough is ace, stay there twice a year always.
Whitby is famous for JET as I think it is the only place it is found, the abbey ruins are good as well.
As mentioned in Scarborough lots to do, Goathland(heartbeat) is nearby to whitby, good for a look but mega busy, peasholme park in Scarby is good, scary house on seafront next to simulator, even do Ghost tours in Scarby, plus boat trips Regal Lady and Corona Queen.
I go there as they are so friendly around Yorkshire.

+ im only 26 miles form there,

if you like and willing to cover the fish and chips and fuel costs ,

ill gladly pop up , paint myself orange , dance about for half hour like a tellytubbie

and sing you and the missus any neil diamond song you like ..........


also offer a babysitting service, but they tend to cry when i sit down ,
