Hi all,
Just bought a new cam and followers for my Escort RST Cabriolet. Installed them and ran the car for 20 mins @ 2,500 RPM then took it for a steady run. I've done about 300 miles so far and I still have a top end rattle. Checked all the followers and cam lobes and can't find anything wrong. Has anyone got any ideas as to what could be wrong.
Any help / advice would be appreciated.
Cheers
Dave

Its a a standard cam made by AE. Used all the lube that was supplied on both the cam and followers. This is driving me mad now. Can't find anything wrong. Gonna get the oil pressure checked this week to see what thats up at.

have you checked that all the rockers are torqued down correctly, check them for cracks as well. Other than that mate I cant think of anything else that would cause a top end rattle
Are the cam lobes deffinately okay and are the lifters filling with oil ?
