im confused? wax or polish or what???
im planning a ncie big olish of my focus RS. ive been looking at things like meguirs polish and i like the sound of the clear stuff they do. however, it comes in a block form and liquid form. which is best?? and will i have to seal it or wax it after that?? or if i just buy some autoglym HD wax do i just use that and that only or do i have to use the super resin polish on it first??? i want noticeably good results.

You need a proper detailing kit.
Poorboys/Dodo works really well on FRS.

Whilst I agree that AG are bettered by a lot of other detailing manufacturers these day in some areas (and that's only because they cater for a much wider customer base than other brands, so have to factor in other things which can reduce the overall performance).
However, they do still have several great products in their range which are highly regarded amongst the detailing community, the main one being Super Resin Polish. For those unaware, you wouldn't think it's very highly thought of amongst the hardcore detailers, but you couldn't be more wrong. As an All In One product with light correctional ability and superb swirl masking properties, it's a staple product for many detailers.
The trouble is, too many people bin it off for being too dusty, but it's all down to how it's used. I still use it to this day and with my method, there's no dust whatsoever, and I also use it by machine sometimes - again with no dust. In fact I machined a whole box van the other week and not only was there no dust, the pad didn't even clog up.
Anyway, back to the OP's question. saphcosmike is quite correct with his product order info, but you don't necessarily need to do all stages to get a great result, just make sure you stick to that order though even if you skip a stage.
On your car I'd go with 2 layers of SRP (super resin polish) - a first one with moderate to heavy pressure to slightly correct any light swirling and marring, a second much lighter application to fill and mask any swirls that are left (and there will be, as SRP is only very slightly abrasive and it's correction is only very mild).
This will give a great acrylic layer for other products to bond to (this is one of SRP's great assets as it works so well with almost anything).
You can go for the HD wax if you want, but cheaper and better alternatives imo. would be:-
Collinite 476s or 915 (both hard paste waxes)
Collinite 845 (liquid/cream version)
Any of the Dodo range really (just pick one that suits your colour)
Poorboys Nattys (any of the 3 - white, blue or red - I'm getting to the end of my 'Red' Natty's and I've loved it - superb wax).
Chemical Guys XXX
Chemical Guys 5050
Any of those will match the HD on looks and the 3 Collinite ones will easily beat it on durability.
Hope that's helped

Or if ya dont want to blow mega money on stuff mix ag super resin with ag extra gloss protection about 50/50 mix and seal it wiv mequires tech wax 2 will give you a good finish aswell
I used to think AG Super Resin Polish was poo. Until i found out how to use it properly.
As Viper says, the reason everyone moans about it is because they can't use it. Your meant to apply with a damp applicator.
