Its on a par at the moment mate, we're having to limit the boost due to intake temp issues.
So he's got a T38 just to do just over a bar of boost
Ive given him some pointers on that though and I think he'll have it sorted soon, the charge cooler seems to be working well but the radiator that cools the charge cooler fluid isnt up to the job.

Quite cheap too IIRC and strangely comfy! Thanks to Chip for spending his afternoon in there. It felt really nice on the way home. I've pulled it off the road though for a quick engine rebuild as there's something not right what with the oil issues so Coombe on the 13th isn't looking great.
You're planning on rebuilding it BEFORE combe?
Surely not?
I reckon you should just do the day on that lump, its only breathing issues after all, still goes well enough, and you can replace the worn out rings after.
Quite impressed how many miles that old motor has lasted TBH given the abuse it has had.
SteveBoySlim has some 87mm omega's in stock by the way.
Let me or him know if you need me to sort any machining out etc.

My problem is that I'm losing so much oil pressure on hard braking on the public road and I'm not giving it anywhere near the level of abuse I'd be giving it on track. It's also filling a catch tank on a spirited drive across the moors which would be the equivilent of just 3 or 4 laps of Coombe. I think I'd be wasting my time turning up TBH. I noticed the SBD breather mod wasn't done so I'm doing that but it's not going to solve the underlying problem.
Fit a bigger catch tank (or use a sprite bottle or whatever as an overfill to your one)
Go out for a couple of steady laps at a time and get to explore the handling of it a bit without really ragging the engine and check it between goes
Good day out IMHO, certainly better than sitting at home.
Providing you make sure you dont actually drop any oil on the track I dont see the problem with using it?

You're trailering it up and back, and you've already paid in advance for the day, so providing you make sure you keep an eye on the breather, there is no reason not to go IMHO, its not like there is anything major wrong with it, stop being such an accountant about it

Yes very cheap chip! they have an offer on at moment for Ł150... for the PAIR
(without the upholstery parts on those. Thats another Ł50 per seat.
Trouble is though they are mounted in fixed position... and I like the fact that mine move so that alot of different people can enjoy it driving it.
And I bet they would be lower as well... I REALLY like the driving position of mine. Where as I was driving Stus last night and it felt toooo LOW... (but my GOD his Tillet Carbon ones look cool!!!!)
guess I am stuck with mine then.
Were they comfy chip?

I wasnt in it for a mega long time, but didnt notice them being uncomfy.
Wasnt really taking a huge amount of notice though if that makes sense?
You could probably fit your sliders onto the bottom of them, so they can still be move forward enough for spikey etc, and it would have the effect of raising them up to.
Or ask them if they do a specific slider designed for them?

lol!
I'm pretty sure others have stuck runners on these seats Lee, mine looks much lower than normal and was mounted direct to the floor because I've got the lowered floor. If money's no object then those Tillets are just beautiful!

They are beautiful... 5 times the cost though!
I am looking at these now mate as apparently they go easily on standard westy runners and can be space to have similar seating position
