Default Skimming head

I bought a stage one head which am planning to put on my rebuilt block this weekend. do I need to get it skimmed or should it be ok??

Definately get it skimmed mate. It will only cost about £30 if you strip the head yourself

How much of it do you need to strip for it to be skimmed??

If it doesnt need a skim the dont do it, you will be altering your compression ratio and reducing the life of your head (if you need it off and skimmed at a later date due to a HG failure or something.......... only so much meat you can take off before it's scrap). Get it checked by your local engineering company and go from there!
