Erst trip computer

hi there ive got a erst with the trip computer but it is not giving a good reading just wondering if they is anyway you can reset it thanks.

get a rubber mallet and hit the bottom of the petrol tank and see if this work as a mate of mine and he went over big speed bump and tank just got hit (no damage luckily) and fuel comp started reading correctly
