while i appreciate where you are coming from matt, i personally don't think that just because she is terminal with cancer is a reason for her to become a saint

i've often gone on record to say that i do genuinly feel sorry for her kids in loosing their mother at such an early stage in their lives, but their father is minted and they could have gone to live with him, but no, jade goody has to be the centre of attention so she will do anything to get into the limelight

the sun is running a campaign to make her some sort of national treasure ffs, so if that's not the papers selling copies for the sake of sensationaism i don't know what is, bet they've given more print to jade than they did for baby p, he gets about 2 column inches to jade 50 page spreads about "sucking a lollipop" or "being in a wheelchair"

I never come in this room, but i did see the original thread title on the main summary page, and it wound me up that people would feel the need to joke about this!

Joking about someones mis-fortune with trivial things in everyday life, then yes maybe if that floats your boat, but to joke about someone dying when so many people (including children!) are being affected by it, then its not at all funny! I think these people who do find it funny need to have a word with themselves.

Yes it may have had a warning on the title, but it doesnt stop people seeing the title in the room or on the summary as i did. This WILL have also upset loads more people im sure.

Sadly, almost everyone will be affecting by this in their life time at some point, whether it be directly or indirectly, so to even consider joking about it is not only, not funny, but absolutely shocking in my opinion.

Thats hard enough.. but this poor lady (who has done fuck all wrong to you) will be leaving kids behind and no doubt others who care for her. I for myself can laugh at almost everything. One of the reasons I come to this forum and room so regularly is because I enjoy that great sense of black british humour, without the usual PC rubbish spoiling it.

Joking about cancer is one thing, some people might find it offensive, others don't. Personally I don't as it's a part of life. People die in road traffic accidents and we still joke about it. (Princess Di jokes, etc.)

What makes this here so different is that most of the jokes seem to say "good riddance to her", which is totally out of order, TBH.

For the record. Both of my aunties died of cancer, and so did their Mother when my Father was 16. So not only did he loose his Mother, both his sisters followed suite. He thought she was a cunt before, and he still thinks she is a cunt and has read jokes off his phone out about her.
