Default Best pads/polish for G220 polisher?

Right, ive decided that im going to buy a meguiars G220. Its my first time machine polishing anythin. Ive bought a few things from cleanyourcar, and Tim there has always been helpful, but he has various kits with the G220 he sells, from this link what would be the best option? Or would it be better buying the machine and different pads? Thanks, Paul

Yeah, Tim's a sound bloke and one of our top approved traders on Detailing World

As for the polisher - are you sure you want the G220? It's reliability record is appalling (although to be fair to Meguiars they always change them under warranty). You are paying for the 'detailing' name and a fancy plastic case with this machine in my experience - don't get sucked in by the brand name

I know he's out of stock of them right now, but consider the Kestrel DAS 6 kit with the Menzerna polishes & pads. They are the best polishes on the market right now imho (and others) but you'll just need to add a finishing pad to this kit http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/polish.../prod_522.html

Something like the Meguiars 'tan' pad or a Lake Country 'Black' would be great.

Plus you'll save some money

As Pit Viper has said the Megs machine does have a bad record, however i think they did change something to fix the reliability problem.

My own G220 is dying and is just out of warranty, for me i would go with the cheaper Kestrel machine if i was to buy again, gonna see if Megs will do anything with mine first.

Also the Menzera kit is deffinatly the one to go for with either machine.
