My mates looking to replace the turbo on his S2. He's getting quoted all kinds of silly prices! 2 years ago I paid £400 for a Stg2 Hybrid for my S2, now he is getting quotes for £540+vat for a std turbo & that's exchange 2!! WTF!!

Anyone know a place that sells std or otherwise S2 Turbos for even near a normal price?

fraid thats the prices nowadays, they went up a stupid amount recently, Garrett put up the prices by 40% or something stupid SCC told me.
a recon std turb from TT cost £347 + VAT a couple months ago tho

 

i bought a repair kit for a standard turbo which cost me £70 and i had it fitted for £30

 

yeah i heard that T3's are getting harder to get hold of so TT put their prices up as a result!

 

in the middle of this turbo talk.. does anyone know if a STD esccos turbo, T35, it to big a mouthfull for my 1900 RST engine??

I had my Stage 3 Hybrid imported from USA at a total cost of around 500 including shipping...i think thats the way forward
