i broke my car in sept 2007 (i think ) and still have loads of bits left. Granted i only listed a few bits for a few months and then havent bothered for over a year

you will get time wasters mate, but you will also get some genuine people who are willing to pay good money for certain items.

when breaking a car its alway handy to have a big list of what you exactly have and prices next to them, that way people can see what you have and how much you want

photos are good aswell as people can see the sort of condition the items are in

thats what i did with my sierra 3 weeks later and it was all sold, but it was advertised, here 3 other sites and ebay lol

Always a shame to see nice cars broken up but it starts the natural re-cycling process for the rest of us cosworth nut jobs, sorry I mean enthusiasts

it wasnt funny the first time! and now you are really tearing the ass out of it!

as xr4x4rs says.. If you advertise your stuff properly and take the time to list clearly and properly with pictures and good descriptions... then you stand a much better chance of your stuff will selling.

If your ads are typed anything like your posts. That could be your problem mate.

Good luck with the breaking. It is going to be slightly harder in the current economic climate.

i think you need to change your attitude a bit, a lot people will always try to take the piss a bit, i expect people to haggle a bit, some bid really low, you only have to say no, if they really want it then they will pay what its worth or offer near to the amount.
i think your diff was well priced, problem is that most people would rather buy a standard diff for £100-150 & change it again it a few months!
you need a good ad, as said above, with pictures & a good descrition.

As said, if stuff is properly listed with prices and with pictures, then people know what is what.

Also, people will tend to act faster, if they need a part and you have it with a price, and it is on a public forum so anyone could snap it up, they will get in quick in most cases.

You can always do a "may be breaking if enough interest with the list as above and see what interest you get.

As for messers, there are always messer, but a clear picture and a price means they buy or they don't no holding or deposit, money sent up front and done on a first come first served basis - you snooze you lose!!
