Default Anyone know the price of an Evo IX Intercooler?

Anyone know approximately how much these are new from Mitsubishi?

Been offered one that's only done a couple of hundred miles, but not knowing what a new one costs direct from Mitsubishi, I'm not sure how much I should be paying!

Cheers,

Mike

I didn't get very far without a reg number and details. I've sumbmitted a parts enquiry, but so far heard nothing back.

I was told they were about £300-odd from Mitsubishi, but don't really believe that as I'd have expected them to be a lot more than that...

Well I just paid £155.07 + £15 postage for the said one, so I'm pretty confident I got a bargain anyway!

You may be surprised actually how cheap OE intercoolers are! Focus ST ones are about £150 new iirc.

Yes but they are crap and I think it may be from the diesel in the range.

Well I heard that Mitsubishi charged something ridiculous like £900 for an Evo alternator, so I can see an intercooler costing a pretty penny from them!

They're not crap, they work great when being used in a reasonable fashion (eg, not a Focus ST ). Yes it's a shared part with a 150hp diesel. The RS has a bigger one.

Really you'd need two of them together for about 300hp from the testing i've done.

Just got an e-mail back from Mitsubishi's parts department.

They say they require a Vin/Chassis number for an exact price, but the estimate price is £1150+ VAT

So I'm rather chuffed!
