lookin to get cossie again
hi lads,
lookin for a magenta saff with a rebuilt or recently built engine done by a reputable source.straight car with clean bodywork so if you know of any sellers please pass on this message.
an establised board member or known car would save time with messers but be warned i want to take advantage of the dropping cost of saffs so am not going to pay top prices..
cheers

But what do people class as "a good one" if a car is straight and mechanicly sound but requires a bit of paintwork and is only 4.5k is that not a good one ?.
I only ask as ive spent a bit of time looking for a mechanicly genuine 2wd and keep coming across 4b's that have all the right bits but need a little tidying around the edges and are very well priced .I personally hate 4wd so wont have one but i have to admit i have been tempted.
If you spend 8k on a mint 4b are you garunteed not to get any failures ? or any more than on a 4k 2wd ?
Quite interested to read others opinions on this.

i spent 5k on my 2wd and its in very good not mint nick, and just requiring basic maintenance, prob cost me another 2k on top to keep it up,but wouldnt have it any other way, good cossys are expensive to run and maintain, bad cossies are expensive to run and maintain, thats how i see it anyway

i agree on the mech needing to be right and in a straight shell.bodywork as in bumps, paint and knocks can be sorted no probs.

Its much easier to replace a head gasket, a turbo, change a clutch or fix a gear box then it is to do body work. IMHO.
