Don't bother reporting it.
I had a demand for an unpaid private parking fine, for a place I've never been but with a Reg no. that I have the V5 for.
Went to the Police to report a possible cloning incident and they didn't want to know until I had a few more including speeding, congestion etc.

Tw*ts who used my number have got a shock coming, the car's been on Sorn for 6 years, no insurance and no Mot.
First ANPR car they go past they'll have a few questions to answer,,, and a crushed car.

Defo report it to the rozzers, otherwise they will come knocking your door down at 2am looking for the armed crimnals that used your plates!!
Most are used to avoid parking fines tax insurance, congestion charge.

got in the car this morning
plate was on it
returning from work this morning 20 minutes later, one of the screws was missing and it was hanging off
can't get the plate off, can't secure the plate, the mondeo has holes in the bumper with the threads in and there are no more threads in the bumper now so i can't put another screw into it

don't want to spend half the day at the cop shop reporting an attempted theft if they won't do anything about it so was wondering if there was a dedicated number/website for reporting this sort of thing

the "+" means your mates are online

You can buy special number plate double sided sticky tape from halfords and it works fine, just make sure you buy enough(might need two packs), they were located at the parts desk in my local halfords.

I used them to stick a front number plate on my old golf, seemed to stick firmly and didnt come off just make sure to stick it on when its not raining and when your not going to be using the car for a good few hours, and make sure you give the sticking area a good clean(alcohol wipes come with the stickers), then it should stick well.

I reckon it was the guy from the buses, fed up with public transport and trying to get you/yours into more bother from the comfort of a private car!!!
