Default Battery Light Help Please

Hi

My battery light is on when my car lights and gauges are on. The gauges illuminate more when I put my wipers on etc.

Has anyone got any ideas why this is happening and what I can do to sort it please.

Cheers

Sounds like the alternator Has packed up, you need to check the voltage across the battery with the engine running, should be at least 13 volts plus

I replaced my battery thinking it was shot, as mine was doing a similar thing to yours. Everytime I get the windows right to the top, the battery light glows on the dash. Just old wiring i reckon, somewhere along the line.

probably old wiring loom.

mine does the whole dim glow when using the electric windows etc, and thats with a brand new alternator, oversized battery and fresh connectors where it needs.

so long as the electrics work, the car isn't miss firing, and it starts! s'all good =]
