ok, bleed the brake on the car (runs a pedal box)
so bleed he front brake just now, and it was ROCK HARD, so thought great
then i adjusted the rod that connects from the MC to the balance bar
and now the there is no resistance on the fronts? and pedal hits floor?
why would this alter the pressure and make the brake pedal hit the floor?

you need smaller size m/c for teh fronts, larger m/c at the rear
then you adjust the bar to give you the closer proximity towards the smaller m/c to give you more leverage on the smaller one which turns out to give you more braking at the fornt
i may be corrected in a future post though, but having fitted one to my 3 door in about 1994, it's been a while

Spikey,
If we ever struggle getting a pedal with a bias box, you'll need two mates to open the nipples on whichever circuit you're trying to bleed simultanously, the bar will pivot too much and you'll experience problems similar to those you describe...

just add though, isn't it weird that it was solid and ok, then i adjusted the rod to the balance bar and it lost all pressure?

Have the rears been bled yet ?
Has it lost pressure on the front or is the bar just defaulting to the lowest pressure side (the rear) making you think it has ?

yeah they have, and that mc has loads of pressure
yeah has only lost pressure on the front, so when i now press the pedal the rear dont budge and front goes all the way in

i noticed the pedal could come up, so lengthened the rod, so it brought the pedal up a little
can i not do this once the brake are bleed?
if thats the case, thats ok, i will set the rods then bleed again and leave
