Default Zetec turbo - What is definately needed?

I have a 2.0 blacktop zetec engine that i am planning on turboing.

What i was after finding out is, What are the mods that really need doing as a start?

Ive heard valve springs and retainers

But what else is there? Other than Pistons and rods, (Are the one from the states any good?)

I'm using a gt25 from a focus rs if that makes any difference.

I know they're really simple questions, but i never built a turbo engine myself. I've always just had ones that are already turbo-d.

cheers for any help

steve

As you say you will need uprated valve springs (Unsure about the retainers)
As for pistons you can use vauxhall LET pistons but you will need a rebore to fit them
and you need to modify the con rods to allow for the bigger wrist pin. as for head gasket i have no idea some people say use normal ford one some say a metal one.

the std head will be fine, but will benfit with a port and a polish and bigger valves
std cams are fine to as they are the same has the rs focus ones but get get zetec turbo's ones from area six and places like that
reconmend vernier pulleys if you go that route also a under pulleys set
can use std rs focus headgasket from ford they are try and tested
will need forged rods and pistons
will need engine management
intercooler,intercooler pipes and hoses
could use rs focus exhaust system set up and exhaust manifold and down pipe or go custom route
will need plugs from a rs focus
and can use the rs focus organic clutch to cope with the power

sound, cheers for that, gives me a pretty good idea of where im going

as for the underpulley set, is that for the ancillary's?

Due to the zetec, and me binning the air con and power steering, is it a viable option to blank the water pump impeller drive, and run an external water pump???

what about inlets? ive heard of rs1800, rover turbo etc.

but isnt the focus rs one the same as the 2.0l zetec plastic ones? But i may be very wrong!

cheers
