right i have a 1.8 cvh (cfi) sierra saph i was just woundering wots the best way to get power on a cheap budget?
i was thinking about putting a efi system off a XR3i but is the 1.6 inlet manifold difrent to the 1.8?
or is there a easyer way to get cheep power?
any help will be appreciated

Putting a bigger engine in is probably easiest?

 

yh im planing to do that next year (thinking 2.8 or 2.9 v6) but right now need to keep the insurance down cause im 17 in 11 days and my quate is alredy Ł1250

 

In that case its probably best to just leave it alone til you get some no claims under your belt! Any mods you do to the 1.8 won't give you massive power without pushing your insurance up.

 

yh so far i have a exhaust system a k&N and thats it (ohhh and a shift light not that that helps)dont get me rong its nippy for a 1.8 (well i would hope so cause its only got 42500 miles)i just wont more to whip some of the cavys around were i live

 

i take it that the red sierra picture above is the car in question? looks good with the ecossie alloys mate. did you tell the insurance comp about the alloys too.

of course i did i couldnt not tell them there brand new (wornt cheep eithere ) and the tyers were a shock aswell spent allot of my money on the wheels and tyers

rwd or 4wd with the v6 in?

I'd just leave it until you can put a V6 in mate. You'll not get much power out of it as it is. I'd go V6 and twin turbo it
