Default the easiest way to get side skirts off a s2, HELP NEEDED

hi
i am trying to undo the 4 or so cross head screws that hold the side skirts up .and there solid ,theres no way there comming un-done ,has anyone else had this problem and how did you sort it ,,,ive snapped 3 crowbars so far and i am begging for help .

is it best to just cut the heads of these screws ,rewmove the skirts and them work from there .and try to remove the threads from the inserts ,


or shal i just torch the fookin car and claim of my insurance

I used an impact driver for most of mine but 1 had to come off with the dremel drill

depend if u want new sills??
i use a chisel (between kit and sill) and hammer as it takes the head off and doesnt damage the kit, but somethimes they put a hole in the sill,
ur crowbars are crap mate made of chocolate lol
depends on the situation mate, is the car gonna have new sill??, if so the main priorty is keeping the kit nice for refitting

THANKS PPL , i will try the pj way first ,then the drill .im hoping to keep the sills ,although ive found a nice hole at the rear end of sill ,so more weldings needed on that bit ,

They are a pain, but not too bad once you done it once, lol fitting it back on is harder good luck

no probs there ,i drilled the heads off the bolts and carefully chizzled at the rest of the bolt head, pop .the skirts came off a piece of piss .....so the difficult bit is refitting ,,,,,, i will let you know what happens lol
